Medieval Camp
The Medieval Camp is an area located in the Forgotten Fields, made accessible in September 2024.[1]
History
The Medieval Camp was added to Star Stable Online on September 11, 2024.[2] Further updates throughout September 2024 added new features to the area.[1] The following year, updates in late January and February 2025 added a questline and new activities.[3]
Accessibility
To access the Medieval Camp, players must have finished repairing the bridge to the Harvest Counties in Nilmer's Highlands.[2]
Appearance
The Medieval Camp is similar to, and was inspired by,[4] medieval and renaissance fairs. The camp consists of many tents, along with tables, books, candles and fruits. There are flags of the different Houses all over the area, and tiny triangle-shaped flags hanging from the trees. Decorating the trees are wooden shields, with arrows stuck in them. At the center of the area is a jousting arena, and at the outskirts are horse pens.
Amenities
The Medieval Camp has a couple different shops and amenities.
- A horse market, with exclusive variations of the Ardennes, Gotland Pony, Lipizzaner, Criollo, Shire and Friesian Sport Horse.
- A magical horse market, which sells Aldrach, Faramawr, Ryume, and Keima.
- A clothing and tack shop, which sells exclusive medieval clothing gear and tack.
- A pet shop, selling dragon pets and the dragon magic horses' matching companion pets.
- A hair stylist, selling an exclusive hairstyle.
- A vet
- A trailer
Houses
The addition of the Medieval Camp introduced a new gameplay mechanic to the game. The player can choose between four Medieval Houses and participate in jousting to earn permanent access to the House's associated jousting lance and shield as a reward. The player can switch their House at any time. Each House has its own tent in the Medieval Camp and representative knight NPC.

Activities
Questline
The area's main questline involves the player helping to reconcile the fighting Houses as they raise their reputation with them and help them face an unknown threat.
Jousting
This area introduced jousting to the game. Jousting is a riding discipline in which two riders face each other with lances. Although brutal in real life, it is introduced quite differently in Star Stable Online, as the players joust against wooden boards. The only way to face opponents is by pledging to a House and collecting points against other Houses.
By competing in jousting, the player can earn permanent access to their House's associated lance and shield. Multiple House's lances can be earned and can be switched between by switching the current House. The lance and shield can be picked up and put down either near the jousting board at the Medieval Camp or at Jorvik Stables Arena when one of the medieval paddock props are selected.
Target Practice
Another exclusive activity was introduced to the game thanks to the Medieval Camp. By talking to Robyn Good, the player can do Target Practice, an activity resembling archery on horseback, to gain Jorvik Shillings.
Races
The Gauntlet and its reversed version are hosted by Genevieve at the Medieval Camp.

Trivia
- The Medieval Camp was first called the Medieval Arena, but the name was changed to Medieval Camp on February 26, 2025.
- The House representative knights are named after historical medieval women.[5] Their likely namesakes are Hildegard von Bingen, Joan of Arc, Eleanor of Aquitaine, and Christine de Pizan.
- Many of the Medieval Camp's NPCs have dialogue bubbles appear when approached. One of the possible dialogues, about "taking a horse kick to the knee," is a reference to a quote and subsequent popular meme from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
