Lynx is Maya's cousin's horse whom Maya is looking after for the time being.
He first appeared in SSO, as a typical bay Jorvik Warmblood NPC, but was updated some time around December 6th, 2017 with the release of the Connemaras. During his update he was changed into a dapple buckskin Connemara.
From Maya's description, Lynx is a curious and rambunctious young horse with a chaotic streak. While friendly, he frequently gets into trouble. He also loves to race.
Etymology
Lynx is the name for a genus of medium-sized wild cats. It comes from the Greek word λύγξ, which comes form the Indo-European root leuk- meaning "light or brightness."
Trivia
- Lynx used to share his old model with another NPC horse named Brunte
- This older model was similar to the model used for the Finnish Horse in Star Stable: The Autumn Rider, the only difference being Lynx had a black mane while the Finnish horse has a flaxen one.
