Rowan Allaway is the leader of the Jorvik Rangers at Redwood Point Ranger Station. They are from Australia and have had a passion for horses since they were a child. Rowan rides an Irish Cob stallion named Shay. They are the race leader of the three races at Redwood Point with two of them requiring the player to build reputation to unlock.

Appearance

Rowan is wearing the Jorvik Rangers uniform. The uniform consists of a black jacket with the Jorvik Rangers logo, three pockets, a green belt with a silver buckle, dark brown shoulder straps and cuffs. They're wearing green pants, dark brown gloves and boots decorated with gold details, green shoelaces and soles. Rowan wears a red headband, a red neck scarf, their hair is black and they have brown eyes.

Rowan is a bold ranger who bravely led an expedition through Rovar's Gap and rediscovered the abandoned Redwood Point Ranger Station.

Journal entry

I don't think there's ever been a ranger as bold as Rowan. Nobody dared to pass through Rovar's Gap until they bravely ventured to the mysterious area north of Mistfall, leading the rangers to the abandoned Redwood Point Ranger Station.

Towan is someone you can look up to. Their time as a park ranger in the Australian bush has turned them into a hardened explorer, but they still have a soft spot for the rest of the rangers. And they always bring a hint of Aussie charm to every conversation.

Rowan's never been afraid to be themselves, or stand tall in the face of judgment. For that, I admire them.

Etymology

The name "Rowan" is a gender neutral name originating from the old Irish name Ruadhan meaning "red-haired". "Rowan" is also a type of tree that has red berries. "Allaway" is derived from the place in Scotland Alloway, with alla meaning "wild" and mhagh meaning "field".
