The forest

The Hollow Woods is a large forested area in Valedale. It is in northeast Silverglade, and the Silversong River runs through it. The forest is well known in Jorvik for being home to the Druids.

Before the area was updated, the Hollow Woods was a sparse forest. It did not appear to have magical influence, and had no distinct unique features.

The Hollow Woods, after its update, is a densely forested and misty area. It has multiple small streams that run throughout the forest, along with ponds and waterfalls. Lanterns are hung on many of the trees, primarily the ones located along paths, and some trees are marked with runes. It has various species of wildlife, including squirrels and rabbits (and glowing green fireflies when unlocked through Druidism). The forest has multiple sublocations.

Activities

The Hollow Woods Race and a mounted orienteering competition are located here. The woods are also the location of the Druidism activity and the related Waltz of the Fireflies and Firefly's Folly races.

Trivia

• The Hollow Woods received a large update and revamp in November 2023.
• It was the last location in Silverglade to be updated to match the game's current style after the initial Silverglade update in November 2018.
• Ordinary townspeople tend to avoid the woods, although its magic is not visible to those who are not Druids.
• The soundtrack that plays in the the area shares some melodies with the song Hollow Woods.
• Distinct loon sounds can be heard in the woods, although they cannot be seen in game.
