Fireflies in the Hollow Woods

Fireflies are found throughout the Hollow Woods as part of the Druidism collection quests in Star Stable Online. They can be collected by riding near them, which will reward the player with Light. Initially, fireflies reward one Light, but the rewards can be increased through progression in the Path of Whimsy. Some fireflies may be will o' wisps in disguise once the sufficient progression in the Path of Whimsy has been made.

Rewards

Fireflies are first unlocked through the Firefly Catching node in the Path of Whimsy, which is free and will be unlocked through the Druidism introduction questline. Later nodes will give the player a small amount of Horse XP when they are collected and increase the Light rewarded per firefly to two. There are also nodes to increase the amount of fireflies that can be found flying through the woods and to give a chance for fireflies to be found in leaf piles.

Trivia

• Collecting Light from fireflies is harmless, as noted by the Firefly Catching node description, and the fireflies can be seen flying away once the player has collected the Light.
• There are two firefly collection races in the Hollow Woods: Waltz of the Fireflies and Firefly's Folly Race.
