Crescent Moon Village

Crescent Moon Village, often abbreviated as CMV, is a village in Epona with several shops for clothes and tack as well as a small horse market. The closest stable is New Hillcrest Stables. Crescent Moon Village is part of the Crescent Moon Village Reputation Faction.

Origin
In the early 1500s, Valdemar Buttergood is said to have forced a large portion of Epona's population to Crescent Moon Village. The reason for this exodus is unclear, however Pamela Moonriver describes Valdemar Buttergood as "...[a] more evil [soul] you couldn't hope to find..." while Junior Buttergood is a "...ray of sunshine" compared.
Appearance
The village includes various buildings constructed of light grey-tan brick with black, teal, red, and brown tiled roofs. A central windmill dominates the skyline. The village is set into a shallow valley between Stormgarden, Mirror Marshes, Old Ridgecaster and Butter Hill, as well as a small collection of buildings beside Epona Lake where Frederik lives.
Reputation with Crescent Moon Village is gained by participating in daily races, quests and main quests with the inhabitants in the area. After completing all story quests in the area, the Crescent Moon Village Race grants 25 reputation points and is the only method of gaining reputation for the Crescent Moon Village faction.
Although Camilla Turnstone is a veterinarian as seen by quests with Professor Hayden, there are no vet services available in CMV.
Players can skip 1 in-game day by staying the night at the central Inn.

The Jorvik Friesian, Jorvik Warmblood, and Knabstrupper breeds are available for purchase on the western side of the village.

Trivia
- The map description for Crescent Moon Village describes a "Valdemar Winterwell" but all known quests describe a "Valdemar Buttergood". The last name "Winterwell" appears to be an error as Valdemar is the father of several Buttergoods as mentioned by Scott Buttergood and others.
