Flipper was a limited time race starter while Flapper is the race finisher who was first introduced during Christmas of 2020. He can be found near the mouth of the frozen Silversong River in Valedale. Although he cannot speak, he is extremely keen on persuading the player to compete in the race. The race that he hosts rewards the player with festive Wishes which can be exchanged for various items.

Flipper is a giant baby Emperor penguin with beady black eyes and black tips.
Trivia
- Flipper shares the same NPC bubble as Flapper.
- A few days before the race was released, Flipper and Flapper could be seen standing at their race posts but could not be interacted with.
