Jorvik Stables Open House
Jorvik Stables Open House, is an annual event generally lasting two to three weeks. During this event, players can help set up for the festivities, participate in races, and enjoy the attractions set up.
History
The first Open House event was held in August of 2015. The first year's event started the staple quests given
by Johanna and Stein tasking players with setting up for the festivities, including finding and cleaning tack, setting up decorations, and grooming horses for riding lessons. The event remains the same for the following year, however in August 2017, the Event was updated with special races to complete including the introduction of Jannica Holmes and her special jumping course. The open house went missing in 2018, but the biggest change came in April of 2019.
Along with the change in month from August to April, the event received a huge boost in decoration, notoriety, and new interactive quests/activities. These included; new races, historical tours, a petting zoo, a decorated dressage ring set up within the Jorvik Stables outdoor arena, special vet services, and exclusive limited release horses in special colours.
In 2020, the open house was again moved back to a summer schedule, opening in July.
In 2022, the open house event was merged with the new Equestrian Festival event and expanded upon.
Appearance of Jorvik
The decorations of the Open House are only found at the Jorvik Stables. For the first three years, the only decorations seen were a few colorful balloons and banners sparingly placed around the property. The biggest changes were seen in 2019, with richly colored banners, balloons, pennants, flags, and flowers, found on every inch of the property. 2020 heightened the experience with streamers and hanging lanterns strung up by the trees.

The Jorvik Stables Open House has three special races and a multitude of quests involving setting up the event.
Two races are given by Johanna, and one is given by Jannica Holmes.
Some of the special quests involve; setting up decorations, finding missing tack, giving riding tours, cleaning tack, helping out Hugh and his Vet service, trying out the petting zoo run by Andy, and taking a historical tour given by Luciana.
Gifts and Rewards
There are no special gifts or rewards given out by completing the quests for the event. However there is a special shop open with exclusive tack and clothing available for the time the event is in Jorvik.
There are also special exclusive variations of horses available purchase until the event is over. The breeds featured are:

- Lipizzaner
- Lusitano
- Arabian (Gen 3)
