Nutkins is a bay American Saddlebred with brown eyes and a white stripe on his face. He is owned by Ranger Violet.
He works as Violet's transport as a Jorvik Ranger, meaning he is most likely a highly skilled and well trained horse. However he is known to be extremely playful and constantly goes off on his own. Violet doesn't seem to mind however as she sees is as a giant game of hide and seek.
Etymology
The name Nutkins and it's other recorded spellings such as Nutt, and Nott, is an Olde English surname that has two potential meanings:
- A metronymic occupational name for a farmer or merchant of nuts from the Olde English 'Cnut' and the 12th century Middle English 'note' or 'nut'.
- A nickname to a 'hard man' or "one as tough as a nut."
