Potato Festival
The Potato Festival AKA Spring Festival was a week-long, annual event formerly held during the months of April or May. During this event, players could help Marley plant and cook potatoes as well as participate in a special race.
History
The first Potato Festival was held in May of 2016.
The first year's event started the staple quests given by Marley. He tasks the player with gathering materials for setting up the festival, and runs the player through preparing baled potatoes. Additionally Marley quests the player with participating in a special race.
The following years remained relatively the same, with only minor changes such as graphics and additional characters.
The event has not returned since 2019. It is likely that this event was discontinued (along with multiple others) in favor of the Equestrian Festival and the "new plan" for festivals.
Appearance of Jorvik
There are no decorations for this event, save for a few baking implements placed at Marley's Farm and the race set up in the field behind the farm.
Quests and Races
The Potato Festival has one special race and a few quests involving setting up the event.
The race was originally given by Marley but is now given by Elvie. It involves planting potatoes as fast as possible.
Some of the special quests involve setting up the cooking area, finding ingredients for Marley, and cooking the perfect baked potato.
Gifts and Rewards
There are no special shops associated with this event, however, there is usually a special gift or reward given out by completing the quests for the event. These change each year.
After the initial run through of the Potato Race, a Potato is gifted upon completion of the race each day.
