Star Stable Entertainment AB or SSE, formerly World of Horsecraft AB or WOH, is the Stockholm-based company founded to launch Star Stable Online. Since the release of their flagship game, SSE has branched out, expanding the Jorvik IP into books, music, animation, comics, and merchandise. SSE was founded with the core values of creating quality, engaging stories for young girls and promoting women in typically male-dominated industries such as game development.[1]

Games

The original Jorvik games were originally made by Hidden Entertainment and Pixel Tales, before the rights were bought by SSE.

Starshine Legacy

Starshine Legacy is a series of four games that were released in 2005.

Wildsong

The Soul Riders Series

Soul Riders is the first book series published by Star Stable Entertainment AB and focuses on the titular Soul Riders: Anne, Lisa, Linda, and Alex, prior to the events of Star Stable Online. The series consists of two trilogies,[3][4] three short story collections,[5] and a stand-alone graphic novel.[6]

The Moorland Stables Series

Unlike the Soul Riders, which focuses on pre-existing characters in the Star Stable universe and the more magical side of Jorvik, Moorland Stables focuses on four new protagonists: Layla, Astrid, Nikki, and Ivy. It has a more day-to-day look at life on Jorvik.[7]

Animation

Star Stable: Mistfall

Mistfall is a short animated series set in the Star Stable Online universe that was released 2021, produced with Emmy Award-winning writer Alice Prodanou and Ferly Animation Studio.[8] There are also four short audio stories based on it.[9]

Web Comics

Coinciding with the release of Starshine Ranch in Star Stable Online, the Spirit of the West web comic debuted on the official Star Stable Instagram account. It became the first of many short, stand-alone comics released on the platform and later on the Star Stable Entertainment website.[16] It was announced in 2023 that SSE will no longer be continuing to publish comics except for the ones already finished.[2]
