Wildwoods is an area in Star Stable Online. It is a large forest biome located on the eastern side of Jorvik and is characterized by its giant redwood trees. To be able to access Wildwoods, the player must be a Star Rider and must already have access to Mistfall. You also must have finished the quest where you talk to Rania when the Dundull elections are over. Wildwoods is divided by a tree bridge into two major areas, one explored and inhabited by rangers and one area inhabited by three Jorvik Wild Horse herds. The player can access the second northern part of Wildwoods once they have finished the Jorvik Rangers on the initial voyage quest into southern Wildwoods. They will be then led by the Lignos across The Sentinel Tree bridge at Stone's Throw. After Edith Octavia Hartwood, Gary Goldtooth and the player are the only ones that have entered the northern part of Wildwoods.
Pre-release
Wildwoods, was mentioned several times before its release; Sep 23, 2020 during a Star Stable News livestream and October 5th 2020, as the home of the Jorvik Wild Horses. On Nov 2, 2020, the area was teased in a video on SSO's social media pages. November 4, 2020 The area was officially given a release date of the 11th of that same year.
Appearance
Wildwoods is a large forest with bright, vibrant colors. The most noticeable feature of the area, are the giant redwood trees towering over the landscape. Most of the smaller trees found in the area are evergreen with ferns and bushes dotting the trails. In select areas, sunbeams can be seen coming down from the sky, illuminating the forest floor and casting a yellow glow.

- Wildwoods' appears to be based on the Coastal Redwood and Giant Sequoia national parks located in the state of California in the United States. The winding paths and tunnels created by the tree trunks are a clear nod to the national park aesthetic.
- Wildwoods was the only area released in 2020, followed by northern Wildwoods which was released in February of 2021.
- Before the update on the 17th of February, the player level restriction to access this area was 16.
