Justin Moorland
Justin Moorland lives at Moorland Stables which he co-runs with his father Thomas Moorland. He is the son of Catherine Moorland, and the grandson of Jasper Holbrook (maternal) as well as Annabelle Silverglade and Mr. Sands (paternal).

Justin is the first person the player meets in the game. He is the one who provides the player their first horse, which they later gets ownership of from Justins father Thomas.
Justin's mother, Catherine, died in childbirth and Justin was raised by his father. During his childhood, Justin hardly knew his maternal grandfather Jasper, who blamed Thomas for the death of Catherine. The player helps reunite Justin with his maternal grandfather Jasper Holbrook, much to his fathers comfort. They meet again when the player delivers a letter from Sabine, which turns out to have been written by Justin's grandfather, Mr. Sands. Very soon thereafter, Justin and Sabine are seen leaving the Moorland by one of Dark Core's cargo ships, travelling to the Dark Core's Oil Rig. When the player infiltrates the oil rig, they find out that Justin has joined the Dark Riders quest to free Garnok. Justin gives the player a chance to escape the oil rig after being detected. This causes The Keepers of Aideen to believe that Justin isn't acting by free will, and that he need to be rescued.
During the player's second attempt to rescue Justin with the rest of the Soul Riders, they discover him participating in the summoning of Katja. Once the crowd of generals and associates has dissipated, the player confronts Justin, asking him to return to Jorvik. However, Justin is firm in his loyalty to Dark Core.
After some time, it is revealed that Justin has become of no use to Dark Core, as he lacked the supernatural ability a Dark Rider needed. Alex Cloudmill, Linda Chanda, Lisa Peterson and the player infiltrate the oil rig a third time, making a pact with Mr. Sands which freed Justin from a certain death by the Dark Riders. Justin is saved, and they all return back to Jorvik.
Back on Moorland Beach, Justin returns home but feels that he can't trust himself to be around anyone. He and his father leave for the South Hoof Peninsula, and the player tries to reason with him to come back to Moorland. Even after this, he still believes that he's a threat to everyone around him. With this, he decides to leave Jorvik all together. But before leaving, the player takes him to see the wild horses. In doing so, he has a change of heart.
Returning to Moorland, Justin seeks to help the Soul Riders to find Concorde, as it's believed that he has the power of Wild Whipsering. The Soul Riders bring him to the Secret Stone Circle to speak to the druids. However, he is put under arrest as Fripp deems Justin as a "wildcard". The Soul Riders later free him and take him to South Hoof Peninsula to speak with the Primeval Tree in an attempt to find Concorde.
After the player awakens the Ancient Tree, it gives Justin the power to seek out Concorde. In this moment, the druids show up and attempt to capture Justin once again, when they are prevented by the horses of the peninsula.
Through Justin's help, the player was able to find Concorde at Ydris' Circus, but with the tent being blocked off by a force field. Linda, Justin and the player discover it wasn't a force field, but a hidden labyrinth keeping them out of the tent. Due to the player's brave actions, Concorde is saved from the circus.
Journal entry
Justin was the first face to greet me when I arrived at Moorland Stables. He's such a nice guy, so helpful and patient with all the new girls, many of whom have never ridden a horse before. People say he has a gift for matching each rider with the perfect horse, and I believe it!
Linda discovered that Justin's true grandfather is none other then Mr. Sands, enemy of the Soul Riders! How can someone so kind be descended from such an evil person? Justin left home to learn more about his grandfather. Surely he won't be persuaded to help Dark Core?!
When it became clear that Justin lacked the talet for magic and the heart for evil, Darko conspired to have him eliminated! In a surprise twist, Mr. Sands helped me and the Soul Riders to free him before it was too late. I knew Justin could never really turn to the dark side.
Unsure whether he could be trusted, Fripp and the Keepers of Aideen imprisoned Justin until they could determine he wouldn't help Dark Core again.
On South Hoof, Justin awoke his true potential -- he could speak the true language of the horses!
