Quests
Coyote is the person greeting the player at the beginning of the game, he first gives the player some new western clothing and equipment as thanks for helping him out. After that he lends his horse Old Faithful to the player and wants to see how well the player is able to ride on his track 'Coyote Ranch Race', which increases the speed of a horse. He also introduces the player to the notice board for the stable chores available at Coyote Ranch. Later, he introduces the player to Linda at the Coyote Ranch Paddock and asks them to help her prepare the Barrel Race they want for the summer camp. Coyote also wants some help with other tasks, e.g. his Texan Longhorn skulls he ordered were lost on the way and he asks if the player could help finding them and later decorating the ranch. He also asks the player to deliver materials to Emma Twitchita, who is helping preparing a teepee for Coyote and Tomahawk Tom for the camp, and to his brother Mr. Wetton, who is renovating an old house into a ghost house. It turns out later that the Castle Herman that Coyote and his brother Herman has built is a sore thumb for Mr. Sands, who wants it gone. Coyote has the building permit at the ranch, but it has dispersed in the wind, so he asks for help to collect them and bring them to Herman at the castle.
Coyote has participated in the Lone Star Rodeo last year, but hurt himself during the competition and decided to come back to Jorvik. As he still has his place in the finals, he asks if the player is willing to take his place instead. The Lone Star Rodeo consists of three different races with one barrel race, a reining track and a race around the rodeo.
