Description
"When society began to rely on machinery rather than horses for Labor, some breeders focused on pleasure and sport. The Selle Français, created in Normandy in 1958 as a sport: horse, is now recognized internationally for its show-jumping. dressage, and 3-day eventing skills.
The Von Blyssen family, recognizing the breed's impressive attributes, introduced the Selle Français to Jorvik to enrich the island's equestrian diversity with another superior competition horse. The breed is known for its special trick, La Courbette. You can also practice its special move, the bounce jump, with Low props in a paddock.
The Selle Français is versatile, elegant, and intelligent. Whether in competition mode or carrying you over obstacles in a field, your Selle Français will win your heart."
Unique Features
Cavaletti Jump
Note: The horse must reach level 7 to perform this gait.
While most breeds in SSO only have five gaits, the G3 Selle Français has six. This special gait is called the "cavaletti Jump," a small bouncing series of jumps. To perform the cavaletti Jump, the horse must be walking or trotting. The player then must hold down the 'Shift' key and then simultaneously hit either the up arrow or the 'W' key. The G3 Selle Français will then begin to perform an cavaletti Jump. During the cavaletti Jump, the horse cannot move to a faster gait or perform a real jump. To stop performing the cavaletti Jump, simply slow your horse down like you would with any other.
The Pesade
Note: The horse must reach level 7 to perform this move.
The G3 Selle Français can perform a special dressage move called the Pesade. The animation can be activated by pressing the spacebar, but only when standing still, otherwise the horse will jump instead of pesade.

Trivia
- According to SSO's Instagram, the top three most purchased coats during the first day of release were the Sooty Buckskin Pinto, Steel Grey, and Chestnut Pinto.[11]
- The in-game description calls the breed's special move "La Courbette," but the move actually being performed is a Pesade.
- The Pesade is a dressage move where the horse performs a controlled rear, standing on its hind legs for an extended period of time. A Courbette is a dressage move where the horse performs a pesade while also hopping on its hind legs.[12]
