The Hanoverian is a horse breed available in Star Stable: The Autumn Rider, Star Stable Online and Star Stable Horses.

Description
Gen 2
"Known for its calm and kind temperament, the warmblooded Hanoverian horse captured the hearts of the Jorvik population in the mid-20th century.
The Hanoverian is a beautiful, athletic and gracious horse, famous for it's equestrian sport abilities. Thanks to its perfect gait and movement it's become successful within all three main competition types; dressage, showjumping, and eventing."
Gen 3
"Cool, calm, and collected, the warm-blooded Hanoverian enters the ring! Gentle-mannered and eager to please with its elite performance skills, this versatile horse is a natural choice for many riders. The breed's fearless nature and nerves of steel are evidence of its original purpose as cavalry and carriage horses in the 18th century. Today, those traits prove themselves useful in world-class level championships.
The first Hanoverians in Jorvik were brought by avid championship participants visiting the island for the highly esteemed competitions. Gracefully soaring over jumps and into the locals’ hearts, the Hanoverian has since become one of the ultimate companions for Jorvik’s showjumpers."
Unique Features
The Cavaletti Jump
Note: The horse must reach level 7 to perform this gait.
While most breeds in SSO only have five gaits, the G3 Hanoverian has six. This special gait is called the "cavaletti jump," a small bouncing series of jumps. To perform the cavaletti jump, the horse must be walking or trotting. The player then must hold down the 'Shift' key and then simultaneously hit either the up arrow or the 'W' key. The G3 Hanoverian will then begin to perform an cavaletti jump. During the cavaletti jump, the horse cannot move to a faster gait or perform a real jump. To stop performing the cavaletti jump, simply slow your horse down like you would with any other.
The Buck
Note: The horse must reach level 7 to perform this move.
The G3 Hanoverian can perform a special move called the Buck. The animation can be activated by pressing the spacebar, but only when standing still, otherwise the horse will jump instead of performing the move.

- Gen 2 Hanoverians share some of their animations with the Gen 2 English Thoroughbred and the Gen 1.5 Jorvik Warmblood.
- The Hanoverian was the last Gen 2 breed to receive a Gen 3 update.
- Three of the G3 coat variations are based on real horses from SSO employees.[7][11][12]
- The G3 Hanoverian is the second breed to have the cavaletti jump as its special gait, the first being the Selle Français. It is also the second to have the buck as its special move, after the Mustang.
