Description
Gen 2
"The Mustang is a breed of horse bred in the wilderness of America. The name comes from the Spanish "mesteño" meaning runaway or wild, which is an appropriate name for the breed that was originally domesticated and then became wild. As there are no explicit breed standards for the Mustang, the appearance can vary widely from horse to horse. However, some of the most common colors are brown, bay and chestnut roan."

Unique Features
The Buck
Note: The horse had to reach level 7 to perform this move.
The G2 Mustangs (not including Spirit) had a unique motion called the Buck. The animation could be activated by pressing the space bar, but only when standing still, otherwise the horse would jump instead of Buck.
The Second Rear
Although Spirit is a G2 Mustang, he could not perform the buck animation. Instead, he had a second rear in place of the buck. The animation could be activated by pressing the space bar, but only when standing still, otherwise the horse would jump instead of Rear.

The Gen 2 Mustang could wear the following tack. This is the same for all Gen 2 horse models.

These coats were not confirmed by Star Stable on any official sources. As such, there was no guarantee these coats would ever be available to players.
Three coats were leaked and shown on Instagram and YouTube in April of 2019. The dark bay dun coat was previously released as an NPC on March 14, 2018. [10][11]

Spirit
Spirit was available through an event between May of 2017 to 2019 where he would roam around certain parts of Jorvik at different times. He required the player to gain enough reputation with his special faction to be able to purchase a special apple from his event store for 699 SC. This apple could then be fed to Spirit to convince him to live in the player's stable.

Three Gen 2 Mustangs were available in Star Stable Horses. The fully raised foals could be bought for 315 SC.

Description
"Some people refer to any wild horse as a mustang, but in order to be a true mustang a horse must be descended form the horses that were bought by the Spanish to the New World. Rough climate has turned the mustangs into tough horses, but they are all highly intelligent and demand to be treated with respect." - Star Stable: The Summer Rider
Locations and Colors
The Mustang makes an appearance in Star Stable: The Summer Rider.
It can be found at Snake Bite Farm in one color, Black.
Trivia
- The G2 Mustang had the most Bay varieties of any G2 horse breed in-game, with a total of four.
- The G2 Mustangs were the first horses released in Star Stable Horses with more than one color available for purchase.
- The limited release horse, Spirit, has a sightly altered model from the G2 Mustangs.
- Although Spirit is canonically a stallion, players could still choose to label the horse as a mare or gelding in the customization settings.
- Despite appearing to use an old model in the Star Stable Horses app, the three G2 Mustangs available through the app use the same model as other G2 Mustangs in the Star Stable Online main game.
- The Mustang in Star Stable: The Summer Rider, shares its model with the Friesian.
