| April 22, 2020 | The G1 Tinker has its breed name changed to "Irish cob." An explanation given by SSO in their April 22, 2020 news article stated, "...we are more aware that 'Tinker' is not a friendly term in many countries."[9] |

Players who own this horse will be able to keep them, but the model will not receive any more updates or bug/glitch fixes after its removal. They're price is permanently reduced to 280 star coins. |

Description
"The Irish Cob originates from Ireland. A powerful horse with a calm temperament, the breed developed from the horses used by Irish Travelers in the old days to drag carts and wagons. The horse is friendly and easily trainable, known for it’s work spirit, and fits most uses.
The Irish Cob is often pinto colored but exists in all colors. The size varies within the breed; some can be almost the size of a pony while others the size of a workhorse. One exceptional feature is the extensive hoof hair as well as its long mane and tail."

Five hairstyles can be purchased for the Gen 1 Irish Cob at the Horse Stylist. These styles are identical on all Gen 1 Irish Cob, and North Swedish Horse models.

Feathers
The Irish Cob sports heavy feathering on its legs. This long hair covering the horses' canon and fetlock means that the Irish Cob cannot wear leg wraps or open front boots in the game.
Colors, Pricing, and Location
The Generation 1 Irish Cobs, were removed from the game May 24, 2023.
The Gen 1 Irish Cobs were sold for 280 SC. All six variations could be be found in Ferdinand's Horse Market.

Trivia
- The breed originally went by the name "Tinker Horse" in-game but was changed to "Irish Cob" as "Tinker" can be seen as a derogatory term for Irish Travelers, and thus the Irish Cob is generally not called by this name anywhere other than the Netherlands.[11]
- The name Gypsy Vanner (a more popular term in North America for the breed) was most likely not used for the very same reason.[12]
- While Irish Cobs can come in practically every coat color under the sun, the most commonly seen colors are Pinto variations. Known as Piebald (black and white) and Skewbald (colored and white) in most European countries.[13]
- It is a common misconception that Irish Cobs are draft horses. However, Cob horses are actually short, steady and stout types originally bred for pulling carts. They are generally used for riding nowadays.[14]
- The G1 Irish Cobs were the first horses whose leg wraps could not be seen when used.
- The G1 Irish Cobs were also the first horse in the game to have a heavy-set/strong build, similar to work/farm horses.
- The G1 Irish Cobs share their model with the Gen 1 North Swedish horses.
